STEVE CALDWELL

Head Coach

Coach Steve has been coaching youth sports since 2014, with experience in boys’ and girls’ basketball and competitive fastpitch softball since 2019. As a member of the Vendetta Softball Club coaching staff, he is passionate about developing athletes both on and off the field. His coaching philosophy centers on accountability, communication, confidence, and personal growth. He strives to help every athlete become a stronger competitor, a supportive teammate, and a confident leader who carries the lessons learned through sports into everyday life. For Coach Steve, coaching is about more than winning games—it’s about building character, creating meaningful relationships, and making a lasting positive impact on the lives of the athletes he coaches.

MARIAH CALDWELL

Assistant Coach

Coach Mariah Caldwell brings a strong playing background and a passion for developing the next generation of softball players. She began playing softball at age 11 and went on to become a four-year varsity starter in high school, earning All-Region recognition each year. A proud Vendetta alumna, Mariah spent five years competing with the organization before continuing her softball career at the NAIA collegiate level in South Dakota.

Currently, Mariah is pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Benedictine University while giving back to the game that has played such an important role in her life. As an assistant coach, she draws on her experiences to help athletes build confidence, develop their skills, embrace accountability, and understand the value of commitment and teamwork. Having experienced the journey from youth softball to collegiate competition, Mariah understands the dedication it takes to pursue your goals and is excited to help Vendetta athletes grow both on and off the field.
